Why USC?

When I finally got to USC, I was significantly impressed by the beautiful campus, the warm hospitality from the students and faculty, and all the incredible opportunities I could take advantage of.  Since coming to USC, I have spent numerous weekends exploring the city with the new friends I’ve made. I’ve been to several beaches, museums, and famous LA landmarks, but I have so much yet to explore and am excited to spend my undergraduate years in such an incredible city!

What activities do you do?

Since I came to USC, I have joined several organizations, including the world famous Trojan Marching Band, Engineers Without Borders, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. This semester, I have also joined the ASCE Environmental Design Team and the University Concert Band. On top of the various student organizations I am involved in, I am also working in a research lab investigating the safety and environmental indicators in the hydraulic fracturing (fracking) process.

How was the college transition for you?

I was intimidated by the fact that I did not know anyone coming into college, but I have met so many friendly people on my floor and through band. My classes were challenging yet manageable because I had amazing professors and peers to help me along the way. I am looking forward to this current semester and all the years to come!
