Why USC?

I chose USC for a number of reasons, including the outstanding reputation of USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering and the many programs it offers, including the Viterbi Fellows Program; the wide range of majors, including the availability of combined degrees like my major, Computer Science and Business Administration; the myriad research opportunities; the variety of on-campus clubs and organizations; and endless other opportunities at USC.

What activities do you do?

Fall semester flew by, and I had a blast hanging out with my new friends in the Birnkrant dorm, attending USC football games, and exploring the City of Los Angeles.   I also am participating in the Viterbi Student Alumni Mentor Program, and it is so helpful having a mentor who is a USC alumnus share his perspective on and advice about college and careers.  In addition, USC provides many career-oriented events, and one of the highlights of my first semester was attending the Viterbi Career Conference.  The seminars were interesting and helped me plan out what I should be working on during freshman year, like getting involved on campus and pulling together my resume.  An added bonus of the event was winning the grand prize at the raffle—an Xbox One!
