What about USC really impressed you?

When USC sent me much more personal communications, like calling, sending magazines and information about all the activities available, I was instantly hooked. No other school coordinated with me or checked in more than USC did before I had even decided to attend. I still have a stuffed carton of mail at home with all of the letters! The location, combined with the aerospace opportunities and pristine weather and absolutely gorgeous campus just sealed the deal.

Any words of advice you’d like to share?

A common mantra from many of my friends is that “college is what you make out of it”. Fortunately, USC makes it extremely easy to find my individual niche, and make the most out of my college experience, and have a fantastic time doing it. The environment created encourages me to try new things, or continue activities that I participated in during high school.

How have you enjoyed USC so far?

Since my decision to attend USC, my perceptions of college life have been filled in very quickly. The first few weeks of college are even more crazy and exciting than either the scholarship interviews or orientation, and the great experiences don’t stop from there. Although you will have more work than high school, you will be challenged academically, and grow more than you ever though you could have. Fortunately, the over 500+ clubs and activities to get involved in insure that you will grow socially and in extracurriculars as well. Ultimately, my choices in the month after I arrived at USC led me to secure an internship this summer with The Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington as an Aerodynamics Engineering Intern. As you can see, college is an amazing experience. I hope that my story above can help you learn more about me as a student and also help to inform you about a very important decision that you will surely be faced with in the next few months. As with many friends I have talked to, it seems that they have all ended up at the college that they feel suits them best. Hopefully, you can to!
