Why USC?

I chose USC because the school encourages me to explore subjects across disciplines. Just because I’m an engineering major, doesn’t mean I can’t explore other non-engineering pursuits that I’m passionate about! I am ecstatic to be able to do this here by studying both Computer Science and Film.

In a broader sense, there’s truly something for every one of my interests here at USC. Whether it be the leadership opportunities on campus, the famous film classes, or the top-notch engineering program, there’s something at USC for all of your interests. Not only that, there are more opportunities that will spark new interests and passions within me. That, and you can’t beat the weather.

What have you discovered about USC after your first semester?

Since I got here, I’ve discovered how real the idea of the “Trojan Family” is. While I may have heard this phrase tossed around before, it takes actually being around your fellow Trojans to truly realize how the students, professors, and faculty are there to support me and to see me succeed. Having the feeling that everybody around you has your back is an amazing feeling, and something I wouldn’t have experienced without coming here.

What are some subjects you’re interested in?

I hope to pursue a career where I can work with both my studies in Computer Science & Computer Engineering, as well as my other passion of film. As to how I plan on doing that, I have no idea yet! I also love traveling, working with kids, and watching Netflix.
