Congratulations Class of 2022!

After years of classes, labs, homework assignments, student organization meetings, and yes, plenty of fun along the way, our latest group of graduates have made the transition from USC Viterbi students into USC Viterbi alumni. To celebrate this milestone, we had the honor of hosting our first on-campus commencement ceremonies since 2019 – before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The day was filled with wonderful speeches from the most decorated American track and field athlete in Olympic history, Allyson Felix, ’08, the CEO and co-founder of Antheia, Christina Smolke, ’97, and the class of 2022 student speaker, Florence Yang, a summa cum laude CS graduate who is headed to the Bay Area to work at Google. Check out the article below for more information on the day, and check out the video below for a CBS Los Angeles interview with Mario Joseph Pinto, ’22, who discusses how he embraced the USC Viterbi Engineering+ philosophy by majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in musical theater.

It’s great to see the students be able to “walk” and celebrate their graduation the way we did years ago!
