For most people the whole point of going to college is to gain the skills to get a job after. In Viterbi, that is definitely the case! Here, getting a job or internship look a bit like…

  • Using the Viterbi Career or USC Career center to get a resume reviewed
  • Using the Viterbi Career or USC Career center to do mock interviews
  • Attending company chats where you can do an elevator pitch to the recruiters or engineers that come and visit
  • Speaking to alumni of different student organizations who can connect you with their teams to get a foot in the door in order to get a job
  • Career fairs (both USC and Viterbi specific)
  • Resume and/or LinkedIn reviews in some classes (depends on professor and class)
  • THE TROJAN NETWORK (for most companies that people want to work at, there is someone from USC that has worked there; USC typically has a great reputation and people love hiring Trojans)
    • The company that I interned for after junior year (which I will work at full time post graduation) was literally founded by two alums of both USC and RPL
