Congratulations! You have submitted your Common App & USC Questions for transfer admission – well done! Now it’s time to make sure your application is complete and ready for review. Below, you’ll find the essential next steps for submitting your required documents. And don’t miss the transfer timeline at the bottom of this post.
📄 SUBMIT SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:

- Official High School Transcripts (with HS graduation date)
- Official College Transcripts – from every college or university you’ve attended since graduating high school.

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS ALSO SUBMIT:
- Financial Statement of Personal or Family Support
- TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic scores (international students whose native language is not English).

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID (optional)
- We encourage all eligible students to apply for financial aid by submitting the FAFSA and CSS PROFILE by March 2, 2026 for Fall 2026 Transfer Applicants. You can learn more about the financial aid process by visiting the USC Financial Aid page.
Finally, please be aware that it can take up to 14 business days (or more) for your transcripts and other documents to be processed into your file because of the high volume of applications received. If you recently submitted your documents to USC, sit tight! It will take time for the University to process these into your file. You will be contacted by the University if your file is missing any information or if anything additional is needed.
Transfer Timeline and When You’ll Hear From Us
- May 31: Transfer applicants will receive an admission decision OR a request for spring grades.
- June 1: Admitted transfer students must commit by June 1 OR within 2 weeks of receiving their decision, whichever is later.
- Mid-July: For students who did not receive a decision by May 31: Additional admission decisions will be released on a rolling basis between late May and mid-July, as spring grades are received and reviewed.
