There are many options for living near USC!

Finding a living arrangement in Los Angeles well before you get to campus will be important. We want this page to help you better understand all the options available to you.

There are several types of housing options for transfer students.  These include University Housing Options or other housing around the area that is independently owned and operated.  If you want to live in university housing remember to submit your Housing Application on or after July 1st, the sooner the better because spaces fill up quickly! It is important to know however that housing for transfer students is limited and not guaranteed.

University Housing Options

USC offers many different styles of housing options for students who wish to live in university housing. Some of the major types are dorm style, suite style, and apartment style. A dorm is the traditional college housing experience, with double-occupancy rooms and community bathrooms, plus a required meal plan. A suite can accommodate up to eight residents, with four double-occupancy rooms and two bathrooms. They are usually clustered around a central living space. Apartments enable students to lead a more independent lifestyle, with more space and privacy. They usually have one or two double-occupancy bedrooms, a bathroom, and a full kitchen. Although it is not owned and operated by the University, it aggregates housing options for students around USC campus.
