I realize this isn’t the best news to be broadcasting – but wanted to make sure everyone was aware of what was happening. As of RIGHT NOW, all of our on-campus interviews have been booked!
Interviews have been available on our website for freshman applicants since the beginning of July, 2011. The first interview took place on August 1, 2011. We created an on-campus interview schedule with available appointments practically every weekday until December 8, 2011….. and now, they are booked.
**PLEASE NOTE: All off-campus interviews are still available, and we have a ton of them all across the country. Check out our interview website for dates and locations.
It is important to note that interviews are not required. Interviews are purely an optional part of our admission process. An interview never makes, or breaks an admission decision. Statistically speaking, the University admits more students that don’t have interviews. Interviews never make one’s chances of admission higher. You may check our website to see if anyone cancels… but the chances aren’t too high. Additionally, if you have scheduled an interview, but are unable to make it – please login to the same scheduling system and cancel your spot as soon as possible. It’s not a good idea to be a “no show” for your scheduled appointment.
If you were hoping to learn more about USC and the Viterbi School of Engineering – you still have a number of opportunities to do so! I encourage all of you to visit during one of our Meet USC programs. Meet USC is a half day program that allows you to learn more about our admission process, take a tour of campus, and meet with us in Engineering (along with one of our current students) to get all of your questions answered and see some facilities.
In addition we are holding a HUGE on-campus Open House: Discover USC on November 20. Discover USC will be a campus-wide open house with all academic units participating. As part of the day we will be holding our annual Engineering EXPO highlighting lab tours, student organizations and more.
Information related to all of our campus visit programs are available on our VISIT US page.
If you have any other questions or concerns related to this process – please feel free to give me a call, or shoot me an email.
If someone doesn’t want their slot please post it!
If anyone out there is not planning on attending their scheduled interview – please login to the system where you scheduled the interview and officially cancel so that others can schedule. While it is unlikely, I want to make sure everyone is aware of the best practice.
