gatewayWe know sorting out your housing plans can seem stressful.  We often talk to transfer students who are very concerned that they won’t find housing. But honestly, all usually works out.

There are many housing options for transfer students.  Most of our transfer students live in non-university owned housing near campus.  “Near campus” usually means a 2-5 minute walk  (less if you use a bike or longboard) to get to campus as there are many non-university owned apartments located just across the street from USC. If you’re interested in exploring your housing options near campus visit the USC Alternative Housing Resource.  You can even use this site to find a roommate.

While USC strives to offer university housing to as many transferring undergraduates as possible, our large returning student population and limited space prevents USC from guaranteeing USC owned housing to transfers. If you wish to live in USC  Housing you may submit the online application here – it’s first come, first serve…and you don’t have to make your commitment deposit to USC to apply for housing. So if you are thinking of University owned housing, you will want to submit your application ASAP.  If you have quesitons about the housing options at USC, you can contact USC Housing Services at 213.740.2546 or via email at housing@usc.edu.
