Discover USC – Saturday, November 6, 2021

It’s our return to an in-person, on-campus event!
Discover USC is full of ways to get to know USC and the Viterbi School of Engineering

For the past year and a half, we’ve gotten to meet some of you through our virtual events. It’s been great to be able to connect with everyone via Zoom, but there’s nothing quite like setting foot on the USC Campus and getting a chance to meet the USC Viterbi School of Engineering in person.

We’re excited to announce on Saturday, November 6th, USC will host DiscoverUSC, a full day, open house event. As part of Discover USC, we will be hosting great opportunities for you and your family to learn more about our programs and engage with our current students.

We will hold two keynote sessions covering our academic programs, student life, and details on the application process.  Additionally, our current students will be available to chat and share their lives in the Epstein Family Engineering Plaza. Discover USC is your chance to learn more about the Viterbi School, meet current students, talk to admission representatives, and get an overall idea of what it’s like to be an engineering student before you apply to USC.

This day is jam packed with information and we hope that by the end, you have a comprehensive view of USC and Viterbi, and can decide if this is where you might want to spend the next four years. Be sure to register below!

Viterbi Keynote Sessions: 10:00 AM & 3:00 PM

Both keynote sessions are identical and cover the same presentation.  We offer two for your convenience.  At our keynote sessions, USC Viterbi Director of Undergraduate Admission, Paul Ledesma, will give a presentation about the school, majors, research, student life, and more.

Student Engagement Fair: Noon-2:30PM

At the outdoor engagement fair, you can talk to current students, learn about their experience at USC Viterbi, ask our admission staff your questions, and take home a souvenir by having your picture taken at our complimentary photo booth!

TWO WAYS
TO PLAN YOUR DAY

Our programs allow for a morning or afternoon start. Both of these plans work equally well to learn about the Viterbi School. There is no separate registration for the Viterbi programs; just be sure to arrive early for the keynote sessions as space is limited and it is first come, first seated.
  • Start with The Keynote at 10:00am, then engage with our students in Epstein Plaza before exploring the rest of campus.
  • Or, start by exploring campus, visit with our students in Epstein Plaza, and end your day with our final Keynote session at 3:00PM.

USC Event Guidelines Pertaining to COVID-19

This is an in-person event with indoor and outdoor programming. Unvaccinated visitors should refrain from any non-essential travel. Guests are required to comply with USC’s COVID protocol, including but not limited to wearing masks both indoors and outdoors regardless of vaccination status, and verifying each member of your party over the age of 12 is fully vaccinated or has proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event. Full details regarding USC’s COVID guidelines will be available in your confirmation email.
