Season 6 of my time at USC is ending soon, so we’re looking ahead to SUMMER!

This year, I will be returning to Apple in the Bay Area to work for the Apple Store Apps team. I know that probably doesn’t mean a whole lot to people who don’t work at Apple. Did you know that there’s an app that comes preinstalled on iPhones that you can use to buy a new phone? It’s that app! I’m looking forward to trying iOS development for the first time in an industry environment and I hope it will be as cool as it sounds.

I took ITP 342 (now TAC 342) at USC during spring semester of my sophomore year, where I learned how to write iOS apps from scratch using an Apple-developed framework called SwiftUI. Word on the street is that part of the team does use SwiftUI, so perhaps what I learned in class will come in handy!

This summer, I will actually have a car, so I’m excited to explore more of the Bay that I wasn’t able to last summer (hopefully less insane walking and more exciting walking). Some of the places on my bucket list include going to Santa Cruz and Sausalito.

A lot of my USC friends (and actually a surprisingly large number of high school friends) will be in the Bay as well, and we’re already starting to make plans together. One of my friends and I might be trying to take the swim test at USC, so we’re trying to lock in to pass it this summer if we end up doing it 😅

After my internship, I’ll be going home for a couple of weeks to hang out with my parents and my sister, then I will be back for Season 7 and 8 of my life at USC! Come back then to find out more about my adventures 😄

I'm studying Computer Engineering and Computer Science, graduating in 2026, and originally from Vienna, VA. At USC, I write stories about research, accomplishments, and events occurring in the Thomas Lord Department of Computer Science, where I'm also an undergraduate teaching assistant for introduction CS classes. I also lead copy editing efforts for Morning, Trojan, a weekday newsletter dedicated to reporting stories USC needs. In my spare time, you can find me listening to Mandopop, eating and writing about good food in LA + beyond, and going on runs!
