If you’re anything like I was when picking a college, great food options are a big deal. While the dining halls are handy, having some variety is always a plus when you’re not feeling the menu. Luckily, USC has a fantastic range of places to eat. Here are my top favorites!

Ramen Kenjo

Ramen Kenjo, located in the Village, is a must-try spot for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine. While their ramen dishes get good reviews, what really won me over is their Sushi Burritos. Imagine sushi ingredients wrapped up like a burrito, with seaweed as the tortilla. Sushi is my favorite food, so whenever I’m craving it, Ramen Kenjo is my first stop. Their unique twist on sushi is both delicious and satisfying, making it a standout choice!

Sunlife Organics

Also in the Village, Sunlife Organics is an organic juice bar that offers a refreshing array of options, from juices and smoothies to acai bowls. My personal favorites are the Pink Cloud smoothie and the Buddha Bowl acai bowl. These are perfect for those warmer campus days when you need something cool and energizing or just want to enjoy a flavorful treat. Their focus on fresh, organic ingredients makes every bite and sip feel like a treat!

Dulce

Dulce is probably the most popular place on campus, and it’s conveniently located in the Village as well. Known for its amazing matcha, coffee, and teas, Dulce also serves up delicious baked goods, salads, and other tasty food options. I frequently visit just for a matcha latte, but when hunger strikes, I can’t resist their breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, or dulce burger. Each option is packed with flavor and made to order. Though the line can stretch out the door, the delicious food makes it worth the wait!

Riley Ashford

I am studying Industrial and Systems Engineering with a minor in Spanish, and I am from Birmingham, Alabama. I will be graduating with the class of 2027. I am currently involved in USC's chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), which works "to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community." I've also conducted research at the GLAMOR lab during my freshman year. Aside from engineering, I am also involved in Troy Camp, which is a student-run philanthropy that provides long-term mentorship for kids throughout South Los Angeles.
