Just In Case :  Of course, we know that no future engineer would ever procrastinate and wait till the last minute to submit… However, if you do find yourself needing some last-minute information before applying, here are some of the most frequently asked questions.

What is due by February 15th?

The Common Application: Make sure to select any USC Viterbi major (engineering or computer science) as your first choice. We get it, life happens! If your transcripts and other supporting documents are running a bit late, don’t worry. As long as you submit your Common App by the deadline, you’re in good shape. But remember, we can’t review your application until it’s complete, so try not to keep us waiting too long!

Are transfer applicants required to submit a letter of recommendation?

The short answer? No. The long answer? Also, no. We do not require a recommendation letter for transfer students.

Where should I send my transcripts?

Official transcripts from all institutions attended (including college transcripts, if you have taken college courses prior to your high school graduation) are required.  

Sending Electronic Transcripts.      Sending Paper/Mail Transcripts.

Where can I verify that my application is complete?

You may get an update on the status of your online application by logging in to your application portal here: admission.usc.edu/status  Please keep in mind, it can take 10-14 business days or more (after USC receives documents)  – like transcripts – to upload into your file. Do not be alarmed if you recently sent in your transcripts and they are not yet in your file.USC will contact you if you are missing any required application documents.

Brooke lived most of her young life in Atlanta, GA.  She attended the University of Texas - Austin as an undergraduate studying Psychology.  With a heart for working in education and a dream to live on the west coast, she moved to California to obtain a Master’s in Education at the USC Rossier School of Education. Over the past 20 years, Brooke has worked in several institutions of higher education in various roles. Her interests lie in guiding and inspiring students through the admissions process with the ultimate goal of finding the right fit for future career potential. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys teaching Pilates, practicing photography and hanging at home with her family.
