If you’re a first-year applicant, January 15th is the last day you can submit your application to the USC Viterbi School of Engineering!
***If you’re a transfer applicant, your deadline is February 1st!
Happy New Year and happy (almost) end to the applying part of the college application season. Remember, if you are currently a senior in high school and are thinking about applying to the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, your application for Fall 2021 is due on or before Friday, January 15th at 11:59 PM (in your time zone).
In order to apply, you must submit the following by January 15th:
- The Common Application (with any USC Viterbi major as your first choice)
- The USC Writing supplement
We know that pieces of the Checklist (e.g. transcripts, LORs, other supporting documents) may be arriving later than January 15th. That is all right! The only things we need by January 15th are the CommonApp and writing supplement. Everything else can come in after (but don’t wait too long! We can’t review your app until it’s complete). Also, in case you haven’t already heard, this year we are test optional. That means applicants for Fall 2021 do not need to send in any SAT/ACT scores. If you are an international student, you may still need to send in scores from an English proficiency exam, so be sure to review all the additional requirements for international students.
Make sure a USC Viterbi major (engineering or computer science) is selected as your first choice so you can be considered for engineering.
If you still have questions, you can check out our Application page or email us at vadmit@usc.edu. We also just finished recording an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with our undergraduate admission staff where we answered student questions live!
Common App Support
Please note that if you do have technical issues submitting the application, contact the Common App Support Team! The best way to avoid any issues while submitting your application is to submit the application before January 15th!
