As the school year is creeping around the corner, it’s time to do a summer recap! I would say this summer has been relaxing, insightful, and pure fun. To give you reason why, here are some activities I did this summer.

  1. Internship: This summer I completed my internship from the spring semester in Los Angeles. I interned at Dermalogica, a skin care company, where I spoke with professionals, learned new office and management skills, and picked up an independent project. My work was hybrid, so I also got the chance to complete work at different coffee shops. Some of my favorites in Korea Town are coffee signal, coffee MCO, café mak, and Sharp Specialty Coffee.
  2. Explored different cities in LA County: During the school year it is hard to find time to explore LA when you are doing homework every weekend. This summer I wanted to explore the surrounding areas of USC and branched out to other cities. I explored Santa Monica, Korea Town, Little Tokyo, the Arts District, Pasadena, Venice, and areas in the San Fernando Valley. We explored different restaurants, beaches,  boba shops, etc.
  1. Went to Concerts: I am a huge concert goer and I love seeing DJs. So, I gathered a group of friends who like to go out and took them to their first DJ event! Some artists I saw this summer were Trivecta, Audien, Seven Lions, Nurko, and the Chainsmokers.

While I did not do much this summer, I would say I had an overall relaxing break from the school year. I spent a lot of time with friends and also spent a lot of time reflecting on my goals for this next year.
