I cannot tell you how excited I am to be writing this blog!
I was studying abroad in London at Queen Mary’s University during the spring semester of 2023, but that’s a blog (or a couple) for another time. Needless to say, this is my first blog in a while.
The goal of this blog is to answer the very important question of “What am I doing this summer”.
The answer is…. A LOT.
I’m working at Medtronic, a medical device company, for the second summer with a team of engineering project managers. I created a new information system for the PMs to track project progress — something super interesting to me that I wanted to explore before deciding what to do full-time.
Also, instead of working in Minneapolis, Minnesota, I had the opportunity to relocate to Boulder, Colorado for this internship. The combination of living in Colorado and the internship has made this summer the best one yet.
I’ve gone hiking, camping in the Rocky Mountains, white water rafting, rock climbing. If there’s anything you can do outdoors, I’ve done it this summer. Most of these events I did with other interns at my site and even from USC. The Trojan network runs strong in Colorado and at Medtronic. I’ll put some of my *many* images from this summer at the bottom of this post. Check them out for a picture of how I spent my time in Colorado.
As I’m wrapping up my internship to go back to school, I’m working more and more on the Viterbi Voices podcast with Paul Ledesma (A quick plug: listen at https://viterbivoices.buzzsprout.com/share). We just recorded a super fun episode discussing the Barbie and Oppenheimer movies.
It’ll be sad to leave my work and Colorado, but I am SO excited to return to USC and finish my senior year!!
Fight on!
