What I did Over the Summer!
Hello all! My name is Sejal Sharma, and I am a sophomore studying Environmental Engineering at Viterbi. Here are the main highlights of my summer:
I love my family, friends, my dog, television, and the outdoors! My grandparents came from Nepal to spend the summer with my family, and we went to many places to have a good time with them. My hometown is Manassas, Virginia, and this summer I went to Virginia Beach, N.Y.C, and travelled around D.C. some more. Here are some highlight photos of my trips.

Additionally, I spent a lot of time with my dog, Emma. She is very high energy, and we love nature walks together.
Everyone meet Emma!
Also! I was invited by NASA to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity.
I received an AIIA award in my senior year of high school for developing a carbon capture device with my group mates in our science fair, and NASA highlighted my project. As such, I was invited to witness the building of the Nancy Grace Roman space telescope with other fellow awardees. The telescope is projected to be sent into outer space in 2027.
I played rock paper scissors through the glass building structure at the Goddard Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. We had a speed networking round with current NASA employees as well! It was awesome!
An extraordinary day.
Goddard Center!
I’m Barbie. You’re just Ken.
Last but certainly not least, my friends and I had an amazing Barbie themed day for the movie’s premiere. It was so much fun, and the film was beautiful.
I am looking forward to this school year, and I am super excited to share more about my experiences at USC! 😊
