If you live somewhere other than the east coast and submitted your application last night you may have discovered that the Common Application time stamps your application based on east coast time. So if you submitted your application yesterday, December 1 at 10:30 pm pacific time (“USC time”) Common App recorded that you submitted your application at 1:30 am…on December 2! This has generated a lot of late night emails and phone calls from panic stricken applicants and families.
Don’t worry. If you submitted your application by midnight, west coast/USC time – you met the deadline.
