Hello! My name is Kyle Revale, and I’m a senior studying Civil Engineering with a focus
on Construction Management. I’m also pursuing my Master’s in Construction
Management through USC’s Progressive Degree Program. Originally from Perris,
California, in the Inland Empire, I’m excited to share my USC journey with you!
My time at USC has been incredible, and it’s impossible not to get involved here, thanks
to the abundance of programs and resources just a step away. As a freshman, I had the
opportunity to dive into research on Virtual Reality in the Construction Industry. As I
advanced through my studies, I gained industry experience through internships and built
invaluable professional connections.
Throughout my time at USC, I’ve joined several clubs, but one has stuck with me
throughout my entire college experience, which was the American Society of Civil
Engineers (ASCE). As a student chapter of the national organization, ASCE has
allowed me to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects through technical
design-team competitions. Our projects include the Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge,
Timber Design-Build, and more! Currently, I serve as the President of ASCE, and it’s
been a truly rewarding experience to offer opportunities to fellow students while also
continuing to grow myself. This is only one example of how you can get involved. There
are so many teams like ASCE that offer the same experience to all students, so get
involved!
